I can't believe it's been since December that I've blogged. I haven't even kept up-to-date with my friends and their blogs. In a quick nutshell this is what we've been up to . . .
RUNNING
We've done a few races this past year and are gearing up for more. In December, I ran the Las Vegas 1/2 with some friends . . . Can you tell that it was FREEZING COLD? And it really was- even ask my Canadian friends that came down to run it. Check out what we were wearing before & after the race . . .KAUA'I
(aka The Garden Island)
Daddy W & I along with another fabulous couple headed for a much needed/well deserved -we've never been on one of these- vacation. We spent a week in Kaua'i. We didn't just lay at the beach all day, especially since it rained lots. One day we did an 8 mile hike to that beautiful waterfall in the picture; spent another day trying to get as muddy as possible while seeing parts of the island we normally wouldn't have seen, 4x4ing, Luau, airplane tour of the island- first time for barf bags- LOL. We had a fantastic time and I have to admit I'm already concocting a plan for another!
MR W-
BASEBALL/SCHOOL/FRIENDS/BASKETBALL/HOLIDAYS . . .
MR W just finished his baseball season. He played Rookies. His team the "Mariners", was the most "in experienced" team in the league- need I say more? MR has worked hard in school and will be getting awards on Wednesday, including A/B Honor Roll. He is looking forward to summer, swimming, friends, cousins, vacations, his first triathlon, Canadian treats and much more . . .
J-
BIRTHDAYS/GUITAR/CUB SCOUTS/SCHOOL/FRIENDS/BASKETBALL/HOLIDAYS . . .
J got glasses and I have to admit I think they look very good on him. He celebrated his 10th birthday, started taking guitar lessons (and loves it & his cool electric guitar). He's thoroughly enjoyed his "new" school this past year and has done well and made lots of friends. He will also be getting awards on Wednesday - he may have a surprise award if he pulled through in the nick of time- wink wink. Like his little brother, he's also looking forward to summer, swimming, friends, cousins, vacations, his first triathlon, Canadian treats and much more . . .SASSY-
PRESCHOOL/DANCE/FRIENDS/FAMILY/HOLIDAYS. . .
Little Miss Sassy turned 3 just before Christmas and is not my baby anymore. She attended preschool & loved it. She was so proud to go to school and tell us all about what she learned. She still talks about her teacher and her friends in her preschool class. She took dance and loved it and her teacher . . . We can't wait until the fall to take more. Sassy loves her friends and is becoming a social butterfly. She wanted her ears pierced and smiled through the entire process. Within the last couple of weeks she has decided that drawing people etc just isn't cutting it so she has now learned to write her name as well as the names of all the rest of us. I'm constantly finding pieces of paper with names, letter &/or drawings from . . . you know who. She speaks so well and some of the things that come out of her mouth just floor me. No need for me to get her dressed, she does a pretty good job of it herself- now if only I could teach her how to do her hair- which she really wants it to her bum. (It's about an inch shy, but will be losing another inch next week).
STAY TUNED
MORE TO COME SOON . . .
